V. Christie is back!
New release alert #KC124
“parts of Petrichor were captured live”
V. Christie is back!
The Norwegian producer returns on KUMO with his second release with us. As stated by Christie himself, Petrichor “was originally created for live performances” and came to life through “improvised sessions with MIDI controllers and analog synths”. Regarding the song's origins, he expanded further, revealing that “instead of building everything inside a DAW from the ground up, parts of Petrichor were captured live, then chopped, layered, and pushed into new shapes”.
Drawing inspiration from the sonic worlds of Four Tet and Burial, Petrichor is a glitchy, UK Garage track soaked in V. Christie’s own signature sound: warped textures, ear candy, and a sense of raw spontaneity.
